Man Arrested in Bulloch After Home Invasion and Sexual Assault of a Child, Multiple Charges

Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 26-year-old Kenneth Moreno Guzman on several charges after he broke into a home, held two children at knife point, and raped one of them. The incident occurred during the early morning hours Monday, January 12 at Eagle Mobile Home Park in Statesboro. According to BCSO, Guzman broke into the home in the middle of the night and went to the children’s bedroom. He held both children, 10 and 11 years old, at knife point and raped the 11 year old. After he left, the children woke their parents to tell them what happened. The parents then called and reported the assault. Through the investigation, BCSO identified Guzman as the suspect. He was arrested Thursday afternoon during a traffic stop, and is currently being held without bond at the Bulloch County Jail pending further court proceedings. The investigation is ongoing. Guzman’s charges are Rape, Statutory Rape, Aggravated Child Molestation, Aggravated Sodomy, Cruelty to Children – 1st Degree, Aggravated Assault (Knife) – 2 counts, Home Invasion – 1st Degree, False Imprisonment, Burglary, and Possession of Knife during commission of a crime – 10 counts – this charge will be in connection with each of the above offenses.
