GDOT: Lane and Ramp Closure Advisory for the I-16 at I-95 Improvement Projects Through July 17

GDOT Weekly Update

Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will close interstate lanes on I-16 eastbound and westbound between the I-16/I-95 Interchange and Chatham Parkway. The closures are necessary for tree removal on I-16, widening activities for I-16, and work on the new I-16/  I-95 Interchange bridges.

Motorists traveling on I-95 northbound should continue past the I-16/I-95 Interchange, exit at US Highway 80 (Exit 102) turn left off the ramp, then turn left to access I-95 southbound, then take the I-16 westbound ramp.

Motorists traveling on I-16 westbound should exit onto I-95 northbound (Exit 157B) then exit at US Highway 80 (Exit 102) turn left off the ramp, then turn left to access I-95 southbound, then take the I-16 westbound ramp.

 
I-95 southbound to I-16 westbound ramp 
(NOTE: This temporary closure and detour will not commence until the closures and detours listed above are complete.)
Motorists traveling on I-95 southbound should continue past the I-16/I-95 Interchange, exit at SR 204 (Exit 94) turn left off the ramp, then turn left to access I-95 northbound, then take the I-16 westbound ramp (Exit 99B).
