BCSO Makes Arrest After Complaint of Sexual Battery Incident a WJMS

The Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office says a 14-year-old juvenile has been arrested following an investigation.

According to the Office, William James Middle School Resource Deputy Bubba Revell was alerted on Tuesday, February 4th to a sexual battery incident that had taken place during school hours.

From a press release:

The incident was brought to the attention of the School Administration in which they immediately reported the situation to Deputy Revell. School administers worked in conjunction with Deputy Revell to identify the juveniles involved and assist with interviews to make sure the individual responsible for the criminal act was held accountable.

As a result of the information and evidence obtained, Deputy Revell affected an arrest of a 14 years old male juvenile. The juvenile has been charged with SEXUAL BATTERY, CHILD MOLESTATION, and FALSE IMPRISONMENT. The juvenile is currently being held in a Juvenile Detention facility pending further court action.

In the news release, Sheriff Brown commended Deputy Revell and the WJMS school administration for working together on this incident and “immediately addressing the incident and ensuring the safety and well being of all students.”

Sheriff Brown stated that it is “most important for all students of Bulloch County to be able to feel safe and secure in the schools in which they attend.” Sheriff
