Arrest Made in Investigation of Highpoint Road Shooting

The suspect in a shooting that occurred this past Sunday on Highpoint Road in Statesboro has been arrested. Qushaun Xavier Donta Williams turned himself in at the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office on Monday. He has been charged with 1 count of
aggravated assault and 1 count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The investigation is ongoing. The victim, Robbie Huff, was transported to EGRMC then flown to Memorial Medical Center in Savannah to receive further medical treatment.

On Sunday, December 21, 2025 just prior to 10:00pm, Deputies and Criminal Investigators from the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting of an individual at 242 Highpoint Road, Statesboro (Bulloch County, Ga) Upon arrival the victim, 49 years old ROBBIE HUFF, was found with a gunshot wound to the head area. Bulloch County EMS and Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene and provided medical attention to HUFF. HUFF was transported to the local hospital where he was eventually flown to Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Ga to receive further medical treatment. Through the investigation the suspect was identified as QUSHAUN XAVIER DONTA WILLIAMS, 29 years old, and resides at the incident location. Williams turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office on the following morning and has been charged with 1 count of AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, and 1 count of POSSESSION of a FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION of a CRIME.
