Zoi Phillips Crowned Trion High School’s 2026 Homecoming Queen

Senior Zoi Phillips was crowned Trion High School’s 2026 Homecoming Queen at halftime of the Bulldogs’ game on Friday, Oct. 23.

Senior Meila Treadaway was named first runner-up, and senior Emme Hankins was named second runner-up.

Each year, the Trion High School student body votes for each class’s Homecoming representatives. Along with the queen and her runners-up, seniors Lyla Warren and Peyton Weaver also represented the Class of 2027. Zoey Cherry, Silvia Ramirez, and Brylie Ward represented the junior Class of 2028, and Lila Groce and Stella Morrison represented the sophomore Class of 2029. Perri Parris was the freshman representative for the Class of 2030.

Each member of the court represented her class and the school with grace. Being elected shows a commitment to being the best student and person possible.

The crowning ceremony took place under the Friday night lights at Sam R. McCain, where the crowd was full of school and community spirit. Jocelyn “Joce” Mitchell, the 2025 Homecoming Queen, traveled home from the University of Georgia to crown Phillips.

Phillips said she is grateful for the opportunity. She was nervous stepping onto the field, but standing beside good friends, her father, and her stepfather helped calm her nerves. When her name was announced over the speaker, she was shocked.

“There were so many emotions going through my brain, but mainly I was just happy,” Phillips said. She added that knowing the effort she put into herself shines into others means a great deal to her.

“It makes me tear up just thinking about the tremendous amount of love and support that everyone has shown me,” Phillips said. “My heart is so full of joy, pride, and love! It makes me thankful to be a Bulldog!”

Treadaway said she is honored and thankful that the Class of 2027 voted for her to represent them for four years.

“I truly love my grade and cannot believe our time together as classmates is soon going to be over,” Treadaway said. “I pray that I continue to shine and be kind to all my peers, and remain humble for the glory of God!”

Hankins said she is blessed by the opportunity.

“It’s truly such an amazing experience, and I’m so glad I’ve got to represent my grade the past three years!” Hankins said.

Congratulations to Phillips on being crowned queen, and to every member of the 2026 Trion High School Homecoming Court.
