Oak Hill and The Martha Berry Museum Announces Fall 2026 Senior Scholars Courses

Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum is pleased to announce the Fall 2026 semester of Senior Scholars, a continuing education program designed for adults ages 55 and older. Since its founding in 1994, Senior Scholars has provided engaging opportunities for lifelong learning, personal enrichment and community connection through a diverse selection of courses led by Berry College faculty and local experts.

This fall’s semester features more than 30 courses, lectures and specialty tours spanning history, literature, technology, arts, wellness and local culture. Participants can explore topics ranging from the Declaration of Independence and the global response to the Holocaust to ballroom dancing, pickleball, mindfulness, creative writing and digital design using Canva. New offerings also include courses on everyday decision-making, etiquette, substack publishing and designing personalized cards and calendars.

Returning favorites include the Senior Scholars Book Club, Gentle Yoga, Zumba and local history programs taught by community experts. The semester also features guided experiences such as the Possum Trot Historical Walking Tour, a botanical hike on Berry College’s Victory Lake Trail, and a tour of the historic House o’ Dreams.

Senior Scholars courses range from single-session lectures to eight-week classes and are designed to encourage curiosity, conversation and meaningful engagement among participants. Most classes will be held at Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum, with selected courses taking place on the Berry College campus.

Registration opens Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 10 a.m. Participants may register online or in person at Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum during regular operating hours. Classes begin in mid-September and continue throughout the fall semester.
