A Rome middle school teacher is facing charges after authorities say she was caught vaping a THC device inside a school restroom during the school day.

According to an incident report, the situation unfolded Tuesday at Rome Middle School when a vape sensor was activated in a female restroom. School administrators responded and encountered Becky Scott, 45, as she exited the bathroom.

Officials say Scott admitted to using the device and turned it over to staff. A school resource officer later determined the vape contained THC oil.

The report states Scott told authorities she took a hit from it because she gets really bad anxiety during testing week.
