Sens. Ossoff, Rev. Warnock Delivering Drinking Water Upgrades through Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

U.S. Senators Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff today announced new drinking water infrastructure upgrades across Georgia through the bipartisan infrastructure law.

Through the bipartisan infrastructure law, Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock are delivering over $67 million for essential drinking water infrastructure upgrades across the State.

These new resources, secured through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF), will help expand access to clean drinking water in communities across Georgia, boosting public health and safety.

“Senator Warnock and I are delivering water infrastructure upgrades to remove lead pipes from our drinking water and keep our families safe and healthy,” Sen. Ossoff said. “Our bipartisan infrastructure law will deliver long-overdue upgrades to Georgia’s infrastructure for years to come.”

“Nobody should have to question whether their water is safe to drink. That’s why I fought for continued investments in drinking water infrastructure upgrades,” said Senator Warnock. “These federal funds, made possible through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, go far beyond changing old pipes, they provide peace of mind for our Georgia communities. I am proud to have worked alongside Senator Ossoff getting this good done for the Peach State.”

Sen. Ossoff continues working to increase access to clean drinking water across Georgia.

In January, Sen. Ossoff cosponsored a bipartisan bill to make it easier for rural communities to upgrade their water infrastructure and protect health by removing harmful contaminants.

In December, Sen. Ossoff cosponsored the bipartisan Rural Water System Disaster Preparedness and Assistance Act to improve water infrastructure systems across rural Georgia.

In 2024, Sen. Ossoff deliveredThis is an external link over $36 million through the bipartisan infrastructure law for lead pipe replacement projects across Georgia.

Also in 2024, Sens. Ossoff and Rev. Warnock delivered over $1.8 million to the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) through the EPA’s Small Underserved, Disadvantaged Communities (SUDC) grant program to upgrade drinking water infrastructure across rural Georgia.
