AdventHealth Redmond Adds Additional Free AngioScreen Community Day After Appointments Fill Quickly

AdventHealth Redmond has announced an additional free AngioScreen community day after appointments for a previously scheduled event filled up rapidly.

The added screening event will take place on Monday, February 9, at the AdventHealth Redmond Shorter Avenue location, 2112 Shorter Ave. The screenings are being offered at no cost as part of AdventHealth Redmond’s ongoing efforts to promote heart and vascular health within the community.

An AngioScreen is a quick, 10-minute, non-invasive screening that provides insight into an individual’s risk for heart attack or stroke. Results are provided the same day. The painless assessment includes a carotid artery stroke screening, ultrasound imaging, an electrocardiogram (EKG) of the heart, ankle-brachial index testing, and screening for abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA).

Health experts recommend vascular screenings for individuals with certain risk factors, including those age 55 or older, people with high blood pressure or high cholesterol, a history of smoking, diabetes, obesity, or a family history of stroke or heart attack. Individuals with a personal history of cardiovascular disease may also benefit from the screening.

Community members interested in participating are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance. Appointments can be made online by visiting the scheduling link at:

Appointments are limited and are expected to fill quickly.
