Last Friday, September 26, Senior Jocelyn (Joce) Mitchell was crowned as the 2025 homecoming queen! Emma Martz was also crowned as first runner-up, and Allison (Allie) Hudgins was crowned second runner-up.
The homecoming court had peer-elected representatives for each class in Trion High School. Lila Groce represented the class of 2029. Brylie Ward and Zoey Cherry represented the class of 2028. Meila Treadaway, Zoi Phillips, and Emme Hankins represented the class of 2027. Mitchell, Martz, Hudgins, Reese Hammonds, and Scarlett Patty represented the senior class of 2026. Each of these ladies was a beautiful representation of their grades and Trion High School; being on the court is a true testament to their dedication to being the best person and student that they can be.
The homecoming halftime was an amazing ceremony, both for the court and for the spectators in the stands of Sam R. McCain. Last year’s queen, Avrie Moss, came to T-Town from her University of Georgia dorm to crown Mitchell. The Pride of Trion Marching Band also played in the background while all the girls were being announced.
Mitchell is beyond ecstatic to have been chosen by her classmates to be the homecoming queen. “I am so, so thankful for this amazing opportunity. This is one of the biggest and sweetest blessings I have ever received. Furthermore, I was able to share the spotlight with some of the kindest and most incredible gals and represent a bold class that I love so much!”
Martz is also elated to represent the class of 2026, as she stated, “I am so honored and grateful to have been chosen by my classmates to be the first runner-up on the homecoming court! Thank you all so much for this amazing experience!”
Finally, Miss Hudgins is grateful to have been voted as the second runner-up. “I am so thankful to have been selected as second runner-up! Thank you guys so much for choosing me for the homecoming court. I really appreciate everyone!
Big congratulations to Miss Joce Mitchell for her crowning accomplishment! Also, big shout-out to all the lovely ladies who represented THS on the court! We cannot wait to see what your future holds!
