Raffensperger Continues Summer Election Integrity Audit with Cross-State Data Accuracy Mailing

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced the next phase of the 2025 Voter Registration list maintenance audit.

“As part of our continued list maintenance audit, Georgia’s Elections Division mailed out cross-state notices to 27,450 people identified through our secure multi-state list sharing agreement as having moved out of state,” said Raffensperger. “We will be encouraging these people to cancel their Georgia voter registrations if they have moved. If they still live in Georgia or have returned to Georgia, these voters will be able to go online to the Online Voter Registration (OLVR) system, to their My Voter Page (MVP) or to simply return the notice to maintain their status as “Active” voters.”

The mailing occurred last week. Voters receiving the notice will be given 40 calendar days to respond before any change is made to their registration status.

This secure multi-state list sharing service identified these records as having more recent voter or driver services activity in another member state. Half the states in the country (25) plus D.C. currently comprise this membership.

“Ongoing list maintenance is vital to keeping our voter rolls accurate and up-to-date,” Raffensperger said. “Clean voter rolls mean clean elections, and Georgia leads the way in providing free, fair, and fast elections to our voters.”
