Raffensperger Calls on Fulton County Commission to Follow the Rule of Law— ‘Appoint All Bipartisan Appointees to the Election Board.’

Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger slammed the Fulton County Commission for openly defying a court order in their refusal to seat two Republican nominees on the Fulton County Elections Board.

Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger slammed the Fulton County Commission for openly defying a court order in their refusal to seat two Republican nominees on the Fulton County Elections Board.

The Commission’s request for a stay of the court’s order was denied by the Georgia Court of Appeals, and as it stands, the Commission has exhausted any reasonable legal avenue. Yet, they remain in defiance of the law.

“Fulton County is in direct defiance of a lawful court order,” said Raffensperger. “Defiance of the rule of law may seem like good politics to some, but it is reckless. Court orders are not optional- they must be followed. Our Republic depends on adherence to the rule of law.”

Raffensperger called on the Fulton County Commission to immediately comply with the court’s ruling and seat the duly nominated members.

“The actions of the commissioners undermine trust in government,” Raffensperger said. “I call on the Fulton Commission to follow the rule of law and appoint all bipartisan appointees, not just the ones they prefer. If elected officials expect Georgians to respect and follow the law, then they must first set that example themselves. Following the law and the Constitution isn’t reserved for when we agree with the outcome.”

Raffensperger’s attempt may seem responsible, EXCEPT that almost all Republican politicians have now become corrupted by their allegiance to Fuhrer Trump. When you support THE most dishonest, immoral, and corrupt politician and inept business person in the history of the United States, you automatically lose credibility and right to public service.
