Summerville Man Arrested on Multiple Charges

A Summerville man has been arrested following an investigation in Floyd County.

According to Floyd County Jail reports, Alan Scott Holbrook, 37, is charged with:

• Child molestation

• Obscene internet contact with a child

• Sexual exploitation of a child

• Grooming a child for sexual servitude

• Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance

• Possession of dangerous drugs

• Drugs not in original container

According to Floyd County Jail reports:

Police said that Holbrook engaged in sexual conversations with a person he believed to be a child under 16 years old, asking her to send him nude photographs of herself.  He is then accused of arranging a meeting spot in Rome where the two were scheduled to engage in sexual relations.

Officers added that after taking Holbrook into custody at the location he was found possession of Adderall, Oxycodone and Gabapentin.
