BCSO Investigation Leads to Drug Trafficking and Firearms Arrests

After receiving complaints and tips about drug related activity at a residence on North Main Street in Statesboro, Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Team began an investigation that led to several arrests.

In response to citizen complaints and anonymous tips, the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Team (CST) conducted a months long investigation into narcotics trafficking that led to a search warrant being obtained for a residence on North Main Street in the city limits of Statesboro, GA. On 02/10/2025, BCSO CST Investigators, BCSO K9 Deputies, and deputies of the BCSO Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team executed the search warrant. The search yielded a large quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with several firearms. As a result, the following persons were taken into custody:
 Samuel Dixon
o Trafficking Methamphetamine
o Trafficking Fentanyl
o Possession of Drug Related Objects
o Crossing of Guard Lines with Weapons, Intoxicants, or Drugs Without Consent of Warden or
Superintendent
o Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
o Possession of Firearm during Commission of Certain Felonies

o Possession of Methamphetamine
o Possession of Firearm During Commission of Certain Felonies

 Michael Sheffield
o Possession of Methamphetamine
o Possession of Drug Related Objects
o Possession of Firearm During Commission of Certain Felonies

Sheriff Brown would like to encourage citizens to contact the Crime Suppression Team with any complaints of drug
activity that you may suspect. All complaints will remain anonymous and will be investigated thoroughly. Anyone
with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact Investigator Donald White of the Bulloch County
Sheriff’s Office.
