A Uvalda man has been arrested in the theft of two skid steer machines valued at over $100,000 from a construction site on South Main Street in Statesboro. Statesboro Police Department received multiple tips that aided in the investigation. Jamie Lynn Allen was taken into custody by the Dublin Police Department on two counts of Theft by Taking- Motor Vehicle. Allen was returned to the Bulloch County Jail where he remains pending further judicial action.

On 11/20/24 an arrest was made in the theft of two skid steer machines valued at over $100,000 from a construction site on South Main Street in Statesboro. Surveillance photos of the suspect and his vehicle had previously been released to the media in order to generate leads. Based on a multitude of tips and follow up investigation by detectives, Jamie Lynn Allen (44, Uvalda, Ga) was taken into custody by the Dublin Police Department on two counts of Theft by Taking- Motor Vehicle. Allen was returned to the Bulloch County Jail where he remains pending further judicial action. The investigation continues and additional charges and/or arrests are possible.
