Summerville To Host Market & Music Event With Train Arrival Saturday, August 24

There is a scheduled arrival of the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum Passenger Train at approximately 1:00 p.m. Rail fans won’t want to miss the train filled with passengers arriving at the depot, followed by the working of the Summerville Turntable.

Summerville Main Street is proud to host Market & Music At The Depot on Saturday, August 24. Market hours are 10:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. specialty vendors will be set up inside and outside of the Historic Summerville Depot. Admission to this event is free. The market will offer a wide variety of items including homemade cutting boards, floating shelves, hand sewn items, watercolor/ink paintings, vintage items, accessories, handcrafted jewelry items, homemade soaps and candles, and much more. Taste buds will be tempted by an exceptional variety of lunch
foods, home baked specialty breads, jams, jellies, fresh local honey, desserts, fried pies and homemade ice cream.

For the public’s enjoyment the Pickin’ Chair Prophets will be “Pickin’ & Grinnin’ southern bluegrass and gospel music inside the Depot Freight Room throughout the event.
