Subligna Baptist Church Youth Walk of Honor

The Youth of Subligna Baptist Church paid their respects once again to the veterans this past week with their Walk of Honor to the Subligna Cemetery.

Twenty-one youth silently carried flags to be placed at the grave sites of those who have served the United States of America. The new flags are presented each year by Mr Ralph and Odell Anderson.

Mrs Anderson is known for her work in helping her community of Subligna, and she also works to bring awareness to Chattooga County Veterans.

Mrs. Anderson is an advocate for veterans in Chattooga County, and surrounding areas with the deep desire to honor veterans and to advocate for them at the local, state and federal level.

Mrs. Anderson was named an honorary Lt. Colonel of the State of Georgia by Governor Deal. She has served as the Veteran’s Liaison and lives in Subligna on her family’s ancestral farm with her husband Ralph and is a faithful member of Subligna Baptist Church.

Georgia Lt. Colonel Odell Anderson, thank you for all you do to encourage youth and future to remember those who have given all.

It is an honor and a privilege for these students to give their solemn respect each year.
