Chick-fil-A Announces Tormenta Way Location in Statesboro Opens May 8

A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Statesboro community on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected David Boykin as the independent franchised local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Eagles Corner.

Located at 333 Tormenta Way, Chick-fil-A Eagles Corner will be open for dine-in, drive-thru and carry-out from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The new restaurant will also feature Mobile Thru, a fully dedicated lane in the drive-thru where guests can pick up orders placed ahead of time on the Chick-fil-A® App.

The Eagles Corner restaurant joins more than 15 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the wider Savannah market.

Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model is essential to how the restaurant serves others. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are owned and operated by a single individual, which means Chick-fil-A’s local Owners-Operators are small business owners, not passive investors, who work in their restaurants side by side with their Team Members each day.

In Statesboro, Boykin will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 100 full- and part-time Team Members, serving Guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the Statesboro community’s needs.

Boykin is a Georgia native who has proudly called Statesboro home for more than nearly 25 years. He first joined Chick-fil-A in 1997 when he received the opportunity to be a local Owner-Operator in nearby Hilton Head. After  serving the Hilton Head community for three years, he returned to the Peach State and was selected as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Statesboro in 2000.

Over the last 25 years, Boykin has forged countless connections with Guests, Team Members and community members alike. Community and care are at the heart of Boykin’s work. He loves the small-town aspects that life in Statesboro entail, and as the only Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operator in the town, he’s excited to extend Chick-fil-A’s impact across the community.

“Statesboro has been  home to my family and me for over two decades, and I want Chick-fil-A Eagles Corner to be a place where people can grow –  not just our Team Members, but our Guests and community as well,” Boykin said. “I look forward to providing a space where everyone can create lasting memories.”

Boykin will continue to operate Chick-fil-A Statesboro in addition to the new restaurant.

Caring for the Statesboro Community
The Chick-fil-A business is built to add positive impact beyond profit, including giving back to local communities. Chick-fil-A local Owners-Operators are empowered to support the neighborhoods they serve with a key focus on hunger, education, and specific community needs.

In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Savannah area to aid in the fight against hunger.

Boykin’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 25 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations from over 2,000 Chick-fil-A restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada.

In addition, Chick-fil-A Eagles Corner is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Statesboro area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.

Team Member Investment
Chick-fil-A local Owners-Operators strive to hire, develop and retain top talent, helping future leaders optimize their skills and providing pathways for personal and professional development in a welcoming, purpose-driven environment. A career at Chick-fil-A offers a wide range of benefits, including hands-on training and mentoring, competitive pay and benefits, the chance to apply for scholarships to support continued education, and the flexibility to thrive in and outside of work. Chick-fil-A’s local Owners-Operators are committed to preparing their team for the future, wherever it may lead. To learn more about careers at Chick-fil-A, click here.
