Dodd charged with Murder

According to records released from the Chattooga County jail DAKOTA DAVID DODD has been charged with
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT,
MURDER / FELONY MURDER, and
POSSESSION OF FIREARM OR KNIFE DURING COMMISSION OR ATTEMPT TO COMMIT CRIME.

The individual that was fatally injured in last nights shooting at 1802 Old Highway 27 Trion, has been identified as 44 year old Nathaniel James Pease who resided at the incident location. The shooter has been identified as 36 year old Dakota Dodd of a Trion address. Dodd surrendered to investigators after he left the incident location. The shooting appears to have stemmed from an argument from earlier in the day. More information may be released as the investigation is continuing. -Sheriff Mark A. Schrader
