Why we trot
The Statesboro Turkey Trot 5K is a major fundraising event for the Bulloch County Foundation for Public Education. The event is held annually in downtown Statesboro on the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Events like this coupled with year-round giving opportunities raise funds for innovative grant projects for Bulloch County students and teachers, and it provides funding for the school system’s REACH Georgia Scholars program, Teacher of the Year program, and the STAR Student/Teacher program for public and private school students.

The Foundation is a charitable 501(c)3 corporation, so donations are tax deductible. It is governed by a board of trustees, and it is supported by generous corporate donations from local businesses and industries, a payroll deduction program with Bulloch County Schools’ employees, and fundraising events like the Turkey Trot 5K.  Please consider joining our efforts today with a tax deductible contribution or attend one of our fundraising events.  To learn more, contact 912-212-8530 or visit www.bullochschools.org/foundation.

Thank you for your support
The Statesboro 5K Turkey Trot would not be possible without the support of its local corporate and individual sponsors and its more than 300 turkey trotters.  Thank you for your support of local public education, classroom teachers, and students.
