Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will close interstate lanes. The closures are necessary for tree removal and widening activities for I-16, work on the new I-16/I-95 Interchange bridges, and placement of barrier walls.

Intermittent right and left lane closures at the following locations
- I-16 westbound from Dean Forest Road (MP 160) to Chatham Parkway (MP 162)

Overnight Closures & Detour
Tuesday, September 7 through Saturday, September 11, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Nightly)
- I-95 northbound to I-16 eastbound ramp (Exit 99A)
Motorists traveling on I-95 northbound should continue past the I-16/ I-95 Interchange, exit at US Hwy 80 (Exit 102) turn left off the ramp, then turn left to access I-95 southbound, then take the I-16 eastbound ramp (Exit 99A).
Holiday work restrictions will be in place beginning Friday, September 3, 2021 at 12 p.m. until Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 5 a.m. No lane closures or work that restricts or interferes with traffic will be conducted during this timeframe.
