July 9 Deadline for BOE Seat

The timeline is set for filling the vacant Chattooga County Board of Education seat. Only candidates that live in the Lyerly District can apply.

July 9. Deadline for candidates to submit name, physical address and email to Mr Hosmer.

July 15. Mr Hosmer will present list of names to the BOE for consideration.

July 16. Chairman Elsberry will reach out to candidates via email, asking them to respond via email back no later than July 23 with a brief bio and reason they would like to fill the vacant Lyerly seat for remainder of term.

Chairman Elsberry will then present candidates responses to all BOE members for consideration of candidates.

August 19. The BOE will vote to fill the vacant seat.
