Position Vacancy Announcement

Technology Specialist Level I

 

Primary Function:   Assist with technologymaintenance.  

Qualifications:   Minimum of a High School diploma or GED. 1 year hardware and software troubleshooting experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

 

• Good working knowledge of computeroperating systems
• Ability to work on small tedious parts such as replacing screens, small screws and cables.
• Know enough about systems software to determine if the malfunction is in the hardware or in the software
• Ability to run diagnostic programs to locate malfunctions
• Practical problem-solving skills and solid trouble shooting skills is a must
• Ability to work well with other people in a team oriented environment
• Ability to install/deploy Windows & Chromebased computers
• Ability to understand/troubleshoot software
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Must be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
• Must possess hands-on experience in system installation, configuration and maintenance
• Someone willing to learn and growknowledge and experience

Beginning pay range:  $16.46–$18.17 per hour based upon experience.  

This position works 240 days per school year and earns up to 10 vacation days per school year.
