Tribute
Sarah Elizabeth English, 8, of Signal Mountain, TN, and Lyerly, GA, left her earthly home on April 27, 2021, and was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after suffering severe injuries from a vehicle accident. She was born on July 30, 2012, in Chattanooga, and was a loving daughter who was cherished by her family. Sarah was a third grader at Thrasher Elementary where she was known for her kindness and friendship. She received the Panther Pride award every year and was a member of the Signal School for Physical Education. She was a bright, fun loving child who enjoyed swimming, gymnastics, attending church and being with her friends. She especially loved spending time with and taking care of her two dogs, Luke and Karma. Sarah was a member of The Point Church at Signal where just last year, she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized into the family of God. Sarah was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Kaye “grammy” Casey, and her paternal grandfather, Ed “granddaddy” English. Those left to cherish her precious memory are her father, John C. English; mother, Cara (Tony) Blalock; grandmother, Deborah English; grandfather, Roger Casey; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2021 in the sanctuary at The Point Church at Signal, 939 Ridgeway Ave., Signal Mountain, TN from 10:30am – 12:00pm with a celebration of Sarah’s life to follow at 12:00pm. Interment will be held after at Chattanooga Memorial Park. Memorials in Sarah’s name may be made to the The Point Church at Signal Children’s Ministry. The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger who looked after and ministered to Sarah in her time of need.
