SEGA Road Work – Week of October 7-12, 2019

There’s a number of road projects underway around the region this week, so plan ahead and pay attention!

Georgia Department of Transportation continues to improve highway infrastructure throughout Southeast Georgia. As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects will continue this week, starting Sunday, October 6. Major projects of interest that will likely impact traffic are listed below.

All work is subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.

Lane closures are listed below by interstates and counties.

Interstate 95
I-95 Southbound in Camden County
St. Mary’s River Bridge to Exit 22
Lane closures for striping roadway
Sunday through Thursday 7 pm to 7 am

I-95 from MP 87-68 in Bryan and Liberty Counties
Single Lane Closures
Sunday through Saturday 7 pm to 7 am

I-95 in Liberty County
Daily lane closure from 9 am – 4 pm for Vegetation Removal

Bacon County
SR 32 Over Little Hurricane Creek
Single Lane Closure for Repainting of Bridge Beams
Sunday through Saturday 7 am to 7 pm

Brantley County
SR 23 Over Little Satilla River
Single Lane Closure for Repainting of Bridge Beams
Sunday through Saturday 7 am to 7 pm

US82/SR 520 Over Satilla River
Single Lane Closure for Repainting of Bridge Beams
Sunday through Saturday 7 am to 7 pm

Bryan County
SR 144-Widening Project
Rabbit Hill Road Closure
Detour via Rabbit Hill Rd. to Port Royal Road

US 80 from Ogeechee River to the Bulloch County line
Nightly lane closures with flaggers for resurfacing

US 80 Eldora Rd. to Old River Branch Rd.
Single Lane Closures for paving operation

Chatham County
Island Expressway – Oatland Island Road to Elba Island Road
Single Lane closures for bridge replacement project
Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

SR 21 resurfacing
SR 30 intersection to Long Street in Rincon
Monday – Sunday 7 pm until 6 am

SR 25 Conn/West Bay Street
Continuous traffic shift on westbound outside lane

SR 204 Derenne Avenue at the Abercorn St Intersection
Single lane closures for maintenance on the PCC concrete roadway
Sunday through Tuesday 9 pm to 6 am

SR 204 at Mall Blvd. and Whit Bluff Road
Right lane closures at W. Fairmont Ave to Stephenson Ave

Road closure for three bridges to be replaced
