Baconton Charter couldn’t get anything going as long as Howell was pitching. Howell held Baconton Charter hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

The 2016 Trion Bulldogs Baseball didn’t relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the first inning when they scored on a single by Malik Martin.

The 2016 Trion Bulldogs Baseball piled on three more runs in the top of the third. A single by Tyler Gill ignited the offense.

After pushing across three runs in the bottom of the fifth, Baconton Charter faced just a 7-4 deficit. A two-run double by Morgan and a sacrifice fly by Culp sparked Baconton Charter ‘s rally. Finally, Drew Williams got Smithwick to ground out to end the threat.
