Trion High School Softball team holds end of season banquet

Trion High school Softball Team finished its historic season Wednesday with an awards banquet. There was a lot of awards handed out for all state, all region, school records and Individual school records. Trion Softball finished the season with 30-4 and a region record of 19-1 losing in the GHSA State Final to Georgia Military College.

All six seniors received a varsity letter at the banquet Abbe Stoner, Peyton Henderson, Jaden Morrison, Kerrigan Ramsey, Rayven Lawrence and Maddi Martin. Trion set several school records as a team, most wins in a single season (30), most all state players (6) three first team and three second team. They also broke numerous individual school records which included Senior Peyton Henderson Most Pitching wins in a Career (44), Senior Jaden Morrison most stolen bases in a season (61) most Stolen bases in a career (205) Highest Batting Average for a season (.593), Senior Kerrigan Ramsey, most RBI’s in a season (52) most RBI’s in a career (116) Junior Lindsey Shepherd Lowest ERA for a pitcher In a season (0.79) most strikeouts for a pitcher in a season (115). Second team all-state included Junior Kiki Evans (infield) Senior Rayven Lawrence (Catcher) Senior Peyton Henderson (pitcher) First team all-state included Senior Jaden Morrison (Infield) Senior Kerrigan Ramsey (outfield) Junior Lindsey Shepherd (Utility player). Many of these girls will be taking their game to the next level. 

This team won the region championship and was Class A State runner-up and with out a doubt this team will go down as one the best in Trion history!
