Trion High School graduate Isaac Thomas has made quite an impact on Georgia College’s Basketball team, starting as a freshman in all 23 games. He began the season by winning the dunk contest, making sure anyone who didn’t know his name, learned it. Thomas recently was named ESPN3 Player of the Game in the victory over rival Columbus State University. Thomas had 10 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four blocks in the game.
Thomas commented, “I am just really blessed to have a great coach and teammates. We play great together. I am glad we beat Columbus State on homecoming for our seniors. I couldn’t have gotten player of game without them hitting shots and teaching me this year.”
Thomas is in the top 10 in the Peach Belt Conference in total rebounds ranked 5th with 177, ranked 9th in rebounds per game averaging 7.7, ranked 8th in blocks with 32. He is ranked 11th in steals with 35. Thomas averages 8.3 points per game and averages 29.9 minutes of playing time.
