The 2015 Chattooga boys basketball team is in the history books. The team is off to a 15-1 (3-1 Region 7-AA) start to the season, the best start in school history. The boys are outscoring their opponents by an average of 19 points.
Coach Jared Groce put the historic start into perspective, “we are well aware that it’s not how you start the season that matters the most…it’s how you finish”.
The Big Red Machine rolled over Armuchee Tuesday night defeating the Armuchee Indians 81-42, extending their home winning streak to 15 and remain undefeated in their new War Lodge.
Nuk Nuk Adams was hitting threes from everywhere on the court. He was the lead scorer with 15 points. Isaac Foster (14 points) and Dee MuCutchins (11 points) played very well offensively to help their team to victory. Isaiah Foster one of the lead scorers on the team did not play one minute of the game. Foster was resting a sore ankle.
Looking forward to the remainder of the season the Indians next eight games are all region games. Coach Groce knows that each game is important and explained his plan for success, “we must remain hungry if we want to continue playing at this level.”
All On Georgia confirmed Isaiah Foster is listed as probable for the Friday night showdown with Coosa. The game will be played at Georgia Highlands College. The girls game begins at 7 pm and the boys game will follow at 8:30.
