Office says Senator William Ligon is in “Good Health”
Senator Ligon (R – White Oak) released the following statement on a Senate member’s recent diagnosis of COVID-19.
“In order to lay a rumor to rest, I wanted to assure my constituents that I have not tested positive for the coronavirus. One of my colleagues in the Georgia Senate has tested positive. However, I was not in close proximity to him at any time recently when we were in session. Nonetheless, all senators are now in self-quarantine. Thus, out of courtesy and respect for the process, I am following the same protocols as everyone else.”
“I want to thank everyone for their concern, and I urge everyone to take this virus seriously and put into practice the recommendations from the CDC. Those are easily found on the coronavirus.gov website. In addition, please be in prayer for all healthcare workers and first responders and for your friends and neighbors. We can bounce back from this quickly if we all do our part to contain the spread of the virus.”
