4 Arrested in Camden County for Attempted Child Molestation

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office participated with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), the St. Marys Police Department, and the Savannah Police Department in an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) joint operation. There were four people arrested as a result of the law enforcement operation.

There were four people arrested as a result of the law enforcement operation.

Sheriff Jim Proctor commented “As a result of law enforcement agencies working together four people, whose intentions were too prey upon the children of this community, were arrested. I applaud the work of all members of the team who captured these people before they could victimize a child.”

The four people who were arrested are as follows;

  • Charles (Chuck) Brazell, age 50, 100 Hygrangea Road, Kingsland, Georgia
    • Criminal Attempt to Commit Aggravated Child Molestation.
  • Akash Kesari, age 32, 1502 East 38th Street, Savannah, Georgia
    • Criminal Attempt to Commit Child Molestation
  • Justin Chovanec, age 36, 132 Boatsman Way, St. Marys, Georgia
    • Criminal Attempt to Commit Child Molestation
  • Andrew Lowe, age 23, 118 Sugar Mill Blvd., St. Marys, Georgia
    • Criminal Attempt to Commit Aggravated Child Molestation

“As the Federal law enforcement agency for the Department of the Navy, NCIS exist to protect our warfighters and their families from harm,” said NCIS Southeast Field Office Special Agent in Charge Tom Cannizzo. “We would like to thank the Camden County Sheriff’s Office and our local law enforcement partners for working with us to combat child predators where our DON families live and work.”
