Georgia DOT Actively Working on Affected Roadways with the Arrival of Winter Weather

In response to Winter weather predictions, Georgia DOT crews pre-treated major interstates, state routes, overpasses and bridges in the northwest, northeast and Metro Atlanta portions located north of Interstate 20 in the early hours of the morning prior to the winter weather arrival.

Georgia Mountains improves unemployment rate in September

The 13-county region set all-time highs in labor force and employment, according to preliminary numbers.  At the same time, unemployment rates fell to their lowest numbers ever.    

Ga. Mountains grows labor force in June

In the region, the June unemployment rate increased by 0.4 percentage points, coming in at 3.3 percent. It was 3.8 percent one year ago.
