City of Dallas Mason of the Year Named

Bert Villiaume was presented the prestigious Dallas Masonic Lodge No. 182 “MASON OF THE YEAR” award for 2020 recently at the Lodge on Main Street in Dallas. In addition, Villiaume was further honored by being selected Mason of the Year for Sub-District 7-E of the Grand Lodge of Georgia.

Many things are considered by the Worshipful Master of the Lodge in choosing the Mason of the Year. Faithful Lodge attendance, participation in Lodge functions both within the Lodge room and in the community, and helping others are important, of course. Villiaume checks all of those boxes and more. But the Mason of the Year must do more than what is expected of every Freemason, and in the words of the Worshipful Master of Dallas Lodge, Ralph Leptrone, “Brother Bert has been the hands and feet of Free Masonry, exemplifying Free Masonry in ways we should all strive to live by.”
