This summer with rising gas prices, rental prices and food prices, many people are looking for a unique experience closer to home.
Michael Hicks and his wife, Teah, own a company that makes unique spaces in unique destinations for one of a kind experiences for their guests.
The couple’s latest creation, the Sassafras Treehouse, is located on Lookout Mountain, in Dade County, GA.
The treehouse has panoramic views and a spectacular sunrise that make the guest feel like they are in the mountains of North Carolina.
The couple bought the 18-acre property the treehouse is built on back in 2020, and you simply can’t beat the view.
The luxury treehouse comes with an outside hot tub, equipped with view, pizza oven and grill, outside shower with amazing hot water, a bed swing and firepit on the brow, decks to practice yoga on or just enjoy coffee, and a bath tub one could live in, see picture below.
The hosts thought of everything needed for a perfect stay, including pizza ingredients to make your own pizza.
And can’t beat the uniqueness, because it’s built out of shipping containers.
It’s a true treehouse, built in the trees, reached by a stairway.
Things to do close by: Located 20 miles to downtown Chattanooga, TN, close to Lookout Mountain flight park where you can hang glide or just watch, 18 miles to Rock City Gardens, and 3 miles to Cloudland Canyon State Park. There is also McLemore Golf Course close by and many more area attractions. It is within 15 minutes of two wonderful restaurants, the Canyon Grill or Lookout Mountain Pizza Company.
But I preferred to just hangout at the treehouse for my stay.
The treehouse getaway, is a true place to retreat, meditate and relax, therefore there is no television, but there is a record player with a nice selection of vinyl so you can spin the black circle.
The Sassafras Treehouse will be featured on a national cable network in the coming weeks.
