Vitamin Water announces contest to pay you $100K to put down your cell phone for 1 year

Could you put your smartphone down for 1 year for $100,000?

How long do you think you could be without your smartphone? An hour? A day? How about for one year?

One company is promoting a one-year break challenge.

Vitamin Water wants to challenge people to put down their smartphone for a year at a chance to win $100,000 for 2019. You can enter the contest by sharing on Instagram or Twitter why you are the best person for the one-year challenge, including the hashtags #nophoneforayear and #contest.

Vitamin Water will choose one participant who will trade their smartphone who owns 2000’s era calling-only phone.  If the challenger is successful for six months they win $ 10,000, and if they make it for the full year they win a $100,000.

The entry period started on December 11 at 8 a.m. ET and ends Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. ET. You can enter up to four times.

Vitamin Water didn’t go into detail about how they’ll monitor the contest but said lie detector tests will be involved.
