Glynn County Police announces promotions within the ranks

On Thursday, September 27, 2018, the Glynn County Police Department held a promotional ceremony at the Public Safety Complex to recognize five members of the department who have been promoted.

On Thursday, September 27, 2018, the Glynn County Police Department held a promotional ceremony at the Public Safety Complex to recognize five members of the department who have been promoted. Please join us in congratulating them on their accomplishments.

• Resden Talbert was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and is assigned as the Assistant Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division. • David Haney was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and is assigned to the Office of Professional Standards. • Jeff Williams was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and is assigned as a supervisor in the Criminal Investigations Division. • Shaun Johnson was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and is assigned as a supervisor in the Patrol Division. • Kirt Rothe was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and is assigned as a supervisor in the Administrative Services Division.

“Each of these officers went through a thorough selection process, and while there were many outstanding candidates, these officers stood out during that process. I feel confident these supervisors will execute their new duties well and will support the mission of the Glynn County Police Department”, said Police Chief John Powell.
