A man was hit and killed by an Amtrak train on Sunday in western Georgia.
The man was trespassing on the tracks when he hit by Crescent Train 20 around 7 p.m., according to an Amtrak spokesperson.
Several warning sounds were issued to warn the man of the oncoming train, but the Bremen Police Department said the man did not hear the sound warnings due to wearing earbuds.
The train was delayed a few hours and was headed to New Orleans from New York. None of the 72-passengers or crew members were injured.
The man has not yet been identified and is still under investigation.
