A Georgia man used Snapchat to lure a 13-year-old boy for sex, according to authorities.

Todd Matthew Jones, 25, of Augusta was arrested on Saturday. The boy’s mother discovered the social media messages on Snapchat and informed the authorities in Columbus, according to Cpl. Mark Scruggs.

Local law enforcement said the Snapchat messages included instructions from Jones to the boy how to prepare for sex. Jones told authorities he met the boy in October, where they met at the local Wal-Mart to buy e-cigarettes.

According to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, investigators monitored the exchanges as Jones drove from Union City, Georgia, where he attends college. Law enforcement arrested Jones outside the family’s residence. Jones allowed police to investigate two cellphones, one of which had access to a folder Scruggs says contained pornographic material of children.

Jones is charged with several counts, and the investigation is still ongoing.  It’s unknown if he has a lawyer.
