Gordon Hospital was recently honored with an outstanding patient experience award given by Healthgrades, an organization committed to connecting consumers with quality healthcare facilities. Gordon Hospital is the only hospital in the region to receive this prestigious award.
The Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award recognizes hospitals that are dedicated to providing an exceptional patient experience. Healthgrades evaluates hospitals’ patient experience performance with a scoring methodology that includes ten measures relating to patient experience. This insures that the data collected from the 32-question patient surveys is properly assessed.
Healthgrades honored 448 recipients with the 2016 Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award, representing the top 15% of hospitals in the nation for patient experience. A total of 3,858 hospitals submitted patient surveys to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services from April of 2014 to March of 2015 for the chance to be acknowledged.
