More CCGA kneeling fallout: Board of Trustee member resigns

CCGA Board of Trustee resigns due to kneeling incident.

A College of Coastal Georgia Board of Trustee, Luis Haza, resigned from the Board due to the actions of the kneeling of the basketball teams, and their coaches, at the college at last Tuesday’s game.

Haza sent an email to the interim President, Meg Amstutz:

“In light of the recent decision by the leadership of the College of Coastal Georgia, to allow our National Anthem to be inappropriately used as a vehicle for protest, I hereby resign from the Board of Trustees. However, to permit students to claim First Amendment speech while trampling on the National Anthem, which bears the name of our nation’s flag, demonstrates shortsighted and inadequate leadership as an institution of higher learning.”
