34-year-old Bedie Diane Collins of a 1479 Abrams Road address in Silver Creek was in jail Wednesday without bond after police say she ran from them and drove her vehicle into a home.
According to Floyd County Jail reports, Collins was arrested at 11:45pm late Tuesday night after striking a house with a car on Preacher Smith Road. Police say Collins was going 78 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone on Georgia 101, and turned onto Preacher Smith Road without slowing down. She then left the roadway, struck a fence and then the home at which point she tried to flee on foot.
Collins is facing charges of felony fleeing and attempting to elude, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a suspecnded license, driving under the influence of alchohol, speeding, and driving too fast for conditions.
