On Monday afternoon a resident was shot at the Division of Family and Children Services in Bartow County, and now the shooter is at large.
Cartersville police responded to the facility at 47 Brook Drive arond 2:18 p.m. June 13. Upon arrival, the suspect had fled the scene.
The victim, who was responsive upon law enforcement and EMS arrival, and is currently being treated for injuries.
A witness told Cartersville police that two men began arguing in the DFACS parking lot. One man left and returned with a gun and fired. A black male allegedly shot a light-skinned male in the face. The alleged shooter drove off and left the scene.
The black male suspect has been identified as 30 year-old Anthony White. He was wearing a white tank top and was going towards Sky Suites.

Stephen Jamal Herring, 26, of Cartersville, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, criminal trespassing and the sale of marijuana, according to the Cartersville Police Department.
Marietta resident Amanda Nicole Young, 31, was charged with false report of a crime, obstruction, party to a crime of aggravated assault and harboring a fugitive.
