If NWGA residents felt a slight rumble on Friday afternoon, it wasn’t imaginary. A 2.4 magnitude earthquake struck east of LaFayette near the northwest end of Horn Mountain, according to earthquake trackers.

The quake struck at approximately 1:48pm on Friday, according to seismologists, but no widespread reports from the public have been seen.
