Woodbine man convicted of child molestation; Faces 25 year max prison sentence

Faces a 25 year max sentence

A Woodbine man was convicted of child molestation on Wednesday, according to a press release from the Brunswick Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.

District Attorney Jackie Johnson announced the conviction of 24-year-old Jeromy Truman Chandler of Woodbine for Child Molestation and Sexual Battery against a child under 16. The charges stem from a February 2017 incident involving the sexual assault of a ten (10) year old child.

A jury was chosen on Monday, December 11, 2018, and heard evidence on Tuesday, which included testimony that Chandler had committed a previous sexual assault in Duval County, FL. The Jury found Chandler guilty of Child Molestation and Sexual Battery. Sentencing will be held at a later date. Chandler faces a maximum possible sentence of twenty-five (25) years in prison.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Robert German. The District Attorney would like to thank Investigator Erica Rafferty, The Camden County Sheriff’s Office, and Michelle Christoforo with The Safe Harbor Children’s Center. The District Attorney would also like to thank the jurors who served on the trial of this case.

    He’s innocent, what evidence was found against him? Was the 10 year old tested for sexual assault? Was his DNA on her?

    was His DNA on the child ? what is the physical evidence? what proof is there ? I can not see Jeromy doing this !!
