Saturday night around 10:00 p.m. two vehicles were involved in a head on collision on GA Highway 48 about half way up Cloudland. Both vehicles were from Alabama and a total of five individuals were injured, three of those individuals were fatally injured. There were four people in one vehicle and one person in the other vehicle. A passerby pulled a child from one of the vehicles and it, along with the driver of the other vehicle, was transported to the hospital by EMS. Both vehicles caught fire and were severely burned. We were in contact with Alabama Law Enforcement throughout the night trying to identify potential family members. Due to this we will not be able to release any names or other information.

  1. This is so sad. I appreciate you all not releasing names. I’ve been on the receiving end of a call when a family member was seriously injured, and it’s horrible to see and read things online before you know all of the details yourself.
